Inspired by her son, Frankie, and his love of sports, Debbie Antonelli created the 24 Hours Nothing But Net (24NBN) fundraiser for Special Olympics.
Beginning in South Carolina in 2019, Antonelli created the 24NBN fundraiser by making 2,400 free throws in 24 hours with a 94% accuracy rate. She raised more than $85,000. The event has now expanded to multiple states and raised more than $415,000 for Special Olympics athletes.
Last year, UNC Asheville basketball teams took on Debbie’s challenge in an effort to raise funds for Special Olympics athletes in North Carolina. This year, they’re taking on the challenge again on May 11!
NOW, IT’S YOUR TURN!
As Debbie takes to the court for another year, you’re invited to take on the 24NBN challenge!
Gather your team, friends, school colleagues or any group you think has what it takes to go Nothing But Net. Teams can put together 24 shooters to make 100 shots each. Each team member must raise $100, totaling 2,400 shots and $2,400 for Special Olympics North Carolina.
