We participate locally, regionally and at the state level.  All of our programs are offered at no cost to the athletes!  Volunteers make Special Olympics a reality so if you are interested in being a coach, helping at a competition,  or serving on a steering committee; please contact Tim Petrea!

Track & Field Practice
Wednesdays beginning March 4
3:30 to 4:30 p.m. at the Waynesville Recreation Center

Swimming Practice
Tuesdays beginning March 3
3:30 to 4:30 p.m. at the Waynesville Recreation Center

Saturdays beginning March 7
10:00 to 11:00 a.m. at the Waynesville Recreation Center

No practices will be held on Saturday, March 21
Practice will be held at 3:30 p.m on Saturday, March 28

Global Messengers

Global Messengers are Special Olympics athletes who have been trained in public speaking to serve as ambassadors for the organization.  They can recruit potential athletes, volunteers and sponsors through public presentations. To schedule a Global Messenger appearance, please contact the local coordinator.
