The 2020 Truck Convoy for Special Olympics North Carolina will return to Charlotte on Saturday, November 14!
COVID-19 Update for the Truck Convoy
Special Olympics North Carolina is continuing with plans to hold the Truck Convoy on November 14 in Charlotte unless conditions related to COVID-19 prevent the fundraising event from being held. If the fundraiser has to be cancelled, we will apply any donations made to the 2021 event.
Instructions about how the event will be held in terms of people maintaining safe distancing and other safety measures will be posted on site on the day of the event. When trucks arrive and park, we ask everyone to remain in their truck. A volunteer will come to your truck to register you as no mass gatherings of people will be held during the event. All participants are asked to wear masks or face coverings when outside their vehicles. All volunteers will be provided surgical masks for safety.
Special Olympics North Carolina will follow State health officials guidance in dealing with COVID-19. State health officials highly encourage everyone to practice social distancing of at least 6 feet as well as frequent hand washing and to stay at home if they are not feeling well or have symptoms of COVID-19. Under an executive order, cloth face coverings are required for anyone in public when physical distancing of 6 feet is not possible.
