Riley Jackson is a midfielder for the North Carolina Courage in the National Women’s Soccer League and a member of the 2026 U.S. Women’s National Team. As the inaugural ambassador for Special Olympics North Carolina’s Athlete Ambassador Program, Jackson is committed to using the power of sport to inspire inclusion, build community, and create opportunities for athletes of all abilities.
A native of Roswell, Georgia, Jackson developed her passion for soccer at an early age while being coached by her father. Soccer has always been a central part of her family’s life, and throughout her career she has remained dedicated to giving back to the community. She is especially passionate about encouraging the next generation to pursue their dreams both on and off the field.
“The Special Olympics movement is a beautiful example of the power of sport. Sports bring together people from all walks of life and backgrounds, creating a community built on inclusion, respect, and joy,” says Jackson. “Everyone, regardless of who they are, where they come from, or the circumstances they face, deserves the opportunity to participate in sport and experience the confidence, connection, and sense of belonging it can provide.”
Jackson’s ambassadorship launches through a collaboration between Special Olympics North Carolina and the North Carolina Courage, highlighting a shared commitment to expanding opportunities for inclusive play and fostering meaningful connections through Unified Sports®.
