North Carolina Schools Given National Banner Status

Special Olympics has announced that 10 North Carolina schools, all schools with Special Olympics Unified Champion School® programming, are receiving national banner recognition for their efforts to provide inclusive sports and activities for students with and without intellectual disabilities.

You Can Still Donate to This Year’s Over The Edge!

Thanks to 123 brave individuals who went Over The Edge on September 26, at One City Plaza! Together, we raised more than $200,000, all to support nearly 53,000 Special Olympics athletes and Unified partners across North Carolina. Photos are available here! Donate here!

Learn more about being a local coach or committee member

We have a local program essentially in each county of the state with year-round sports training and local events.  In addition to having sport coaches, each program has a local committee that assists the local program coordinator in all of their program needs.
