Lake Norman

Welcome to Special Olympics Lake Norman!

Nearly 200 children and adults with intellectual disabilities in the Lake Norman area train and compete year-round in Special Olympics programs.

The local program always needs dedicated volunteers. Contact us today to learn about serving on committees, volunteering for events, or just coming out for local competition! Get involved by attending the monthly planning meeting on the third Tuesday of each month at 6:30 p.m. at 418 Carpenter Ave., Mooresville.

Coaches are needed to train athletes in existing sports or to start new sports! All of the training is provided for you through Special Olympics North Carolina. Please contact if you’re interested in learning more.
