Join the 2017 Truck Convoy for Special Olympics and be a part of a celebration of the trucking industry and its unwavering support of Special Olympics.  This event is a unique one-day celebration in which local law enforcement officers escort a convoy of trucks through cities and towns in 38 US states and Canadian provinces to raise funds and awareness for Special Olympics athletes.

2017 Day of Event Schedule –

8 a.m.: Registration

9 a.m.: World’s Largest Truck Convoy

11:30 a.m.: Lunch, prizes and more

Inclement Weather Policy

Please note that in the case of event cancellation due to inclement weather, no refund will be provided.

Lead Truck

2015 Truck Convoy Lead TruckBe the Lead Truck in the Convoy! Ask your friends, co-workers, vendors, service and parts providers and family members to make a donation to Special Olympics NC and help raise the most money to earn the honor of leading the Convoy. Go to Firstgiving and create your own fundraising page for an easy way to reach your contacts through email, or your favorite social media such as Facebook and Twitter!

Vehicle Requirements

All trucks must be of 10-GVW or larger. Semi-trucks, truck/trailer combinations, large trucks, low-boys, dump trucks, flat beds, buses, large tow trucks, large box trucks, etc. are all eligible.  Please note: no hazardous materials are permitted. 

Sponsorship

All sponsors receive their company name on the event T-shirt. Participants are encouraged to raise as much as possible, but a minimum donation of $100 is required to participate in the Convoy.

Registered Convoy drivers will receive:
Truck Convoy for Special Olympics T-shirt
Lunch & a Goodie bag

Convoy drivers who raise $300 or more will receive a Truck Convoy sweatshirt.

Raffle prize donations by drivers and participating trucking companies are encouraged!
