The 2018 Truck Convoy for Special Olympics will take place on Saturday, October 20

Hwy 485, Exit 32

The 2018 Truck Convoy for Special Olympics will roll into Charlotte on October 20! This event is a unique one-day celebration in which local law enforcement officers escort a convoy of trucks through cities and towns in 38 US states and Canadian provinces to raise funds and awareness for Special Olympics athletes.


8:00am: Registration Begins
9:00am: Mandatory Drivers’ Meeting
9:15am: Lead Truck Bidding
9:20am: Convoy Group Photo
9:30am: Truck Convoy Begins
11:30am: Lunch Served
11:45am: Awards & Raffle Drawing

     Truck Convoy Route:  28 miles

  1. Start out going north on Pavilion Blvd. toward US-29 N.
  2. Turn left onto US-29 North, proceed to I-485 South.
  3. Turn left onto I-485 South and drive to Exit 51, Highway 74 Independence Blvd.
  4. Cross bridge and return to I-485 North.
  5. Take EXIT 32 – US 29.
  6. Turn left onto US-29 North/N. Tryon Street.
  7. Turn right onto Pavilion Blvd.
  8.  End at PNC Music Pavilion, 707 Pavilion Blvd.

Participants are encouraged to raise as much as possible, but a minimum donation of $100 is required to participate in the Convoy.

Registered Convoy drivers will receive:
Truck Convoy for Special Olympics T-shirt
Lunch & a Goodie bag

Convoy drivers who raise $300 or more will receive a Truck Convoy stainless steel coffee tumbler.

Raffle prize donations by drivers and participating trucking companies are encouraged!
