Why is Over the Edge important to us?
You may be wondering what rappelling down a skyscraper has to do with Special Olympics and the answer is simple. If you are a person with intellectual disabilities, you encounter adversities daily. You must have courage to try something that doesn’t come easily to you. Our athletes bravely face challenges on the field, in the pool and on the court. They are the inspiration for this event. Take your support for Special Olympics North Carolina to new heights and face your fears!
Over the Edge 2018
Over the Edge comes back to Raleigh on Saturday, September 29, 2018, at the Wells Fargo Capitol Center! Get ready to rappel 30 stories down a skyscraper for Special Olympics North Carolina!
In order to participate you must raise at least $1,000 by the event date. We help make that easy and fun by providing you with a personal online fundraising webpage to collect donations from family and friends for the event! As you register you also create your personal online fundraising webpage to meet the $1,000 fundraising minimum.
In order to go Over the Edge, you must be at least 14 years old and weigh between 100 and 300 lbs. If you do not meet these requirements and want to participate, contact Leslie Moyar.
