The Torch Run Relay

In North Carolina, the Torch Run Final Leg is an 20-day torch relay throughout the state covering 2,000 miles. The Special Olympics Flame of Hope is carried by more than 2,000 law enforcement and corrections officers representing more than 200 agencies across the state.  The Torch Run culminates with the lighting of the cauldron to signify the official opening of Special Olympics North Carolina Summer Games.
