Olympics has partnered with RMS Communications Group Inc. to recycle
unwanted cell phones into cash for Special Olympics, as well as
help the environment. An estimated 130 million cell phones
annually are tossed away or end up in landfills every year.
There are 200,000 people in North Carolina with intellectual disabilities
and Recycle For Special Olympics will help them realize their potential,
develop physical fitness and experience joy and friendship.
All recycled cell phones will receive a minimum of $1 to more than
$100 per donated phone.
