The Individual Giving/Spirit Partners program is an important part of Special Olympics North Carolina's continuing efforts to maintain, improve and create new opportunities for SONC athletes. Gifts from Individual Giving/Spirit Partners are used exclusively for programmatic expenses, thereby enabling SONC to provide more than 38,000 athletes with the very best in sports training, leadership development and Olympic-style competitions.
With an annual gift of $1,000 (Giver of Courage), $2,500 (Giver of Joy) or $5,000 (Giver of Hope) you will join the ranks of a very special group of people. SONC Spirit Partners embody the spirit of this wonderful organization and truly inspire greatness among the athletes.
As a Spirit Partner you are thanked for your generous support of Special Olympics North Carolina in a variety of ways:
- Invitation to Present an Award at a Special Olympics Competition
- Invitation to State-level Games President's Receptions
- Certificate of Support as a member of Spirit Partners
- Special Recognition in the SONC Annual Report
Hall of Heroes
Spirit Partners whose one-time or aggregate annual gifts total $10,000 to $100,000+ become members of SONC's Hall of Heroes. Members receive a commemorative plaque along with recognition in our Hall of Heroes (located in the Special Olympics North Carolina headquarters office) by reaching the $10,000, $25,000, $50,000 and $100,000+ giving levels. [Gifts applied towards the Hall of Heroes must be designated specifically for the Spirit Partners program at the time the gift is made.]
