Directors’ Message – December 2017

Hello Fellow Torch Runners,

What a year it’s been for the North Carolina Law Enforcement Torch Run for Special Olympics North Carolina!  Thank you to each and every one of you for everything you’ve done to make the 2017 Torch Run year a success for the athletes of Special Olympics North Carolina.  We’re proud to announce that we raised over $1.2 million in 2017 for Special Olympics NC!

This year, Torch Runners rose to the occasion of “Just One More” through donations for t-shirts, sponsorships, polar plunges, Cops on Top events, golf tournaments, Tip a Cop events, the Plane Pull, Over the Edge and Truck Convoy!  We hope that each of you will continue to mentor other agencies to join our efforts in 2018!   As we get ready to start the new year, we must embrace our 2018 theme which is also the athletes’ oath “Let me win. But if I cannot win, let me be brave in the attempt.”  Our 2018 goal is $1.4 million so we encourage everyone to reach for the top!

Please have a wonderful Christmas and a safe Happy New Year! We look forward to seeing you at the annual Torch Run Conference in Atlantic Beach, January 29-31!

With best regards,
