Roy Forrest, Torch Run Final Leg Team Leader

Roy Forrest, SONC vice president of the NC Law Enforcement Torch Run and the leader of Team 9 participating in the International Torch Run Final Leg in China is having an amazing time so far! He and Team 9 visited the Great Wall of China for the lighting of the Flame of Hope on Tuesday, Sept. 26.

His team all agreed the Great Wall was a sight no words could describe! His whole team was in awe of how this enormous structure was built without cranes or equipment that Americans are so used to seeing on big construction projects. The flame lighting ceremony was most spectacular! During some free time, Team 9 and Indiana athlete Katie Crawford walked to the top of a small section of the wall and were blown away by the view!
